There were about 4,679 work-related fatalities in 2014, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is a surprising number, and many of these fatalities were the result of a business failing to properly train its workers, failing to ensure a safe working environment, and/or failing to follow safety procedures.
